Wakonda State Park is located in northeastern Missouri about 30 minutes north of Hannibal and 45 minutes south of Keokuk, Iowa and is part of the Missouri State Parks system. There are a number of lakes in the park that allow for fishing, canoing, and swimming and trails that suit both hiking and mountain biking.

The tent camping sites are situated near the back of the campground near the shower house and alongside one of the smaller lakes. There are also a few pull-through RV sites.

June 2007Edit

We tent camped here in sites 31 and 52 (back-to-back). The campground, restrooms, and showers were all very clean and well maintained. The camp hosts operate the wood shed and only have it open for about an hour early in the evening, so make sure you plan ahead on how much wood you need. --Raukodraug 04:02, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
