The U.S. Army Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (Army MWR) sponsors numerous programs to support active duty military, reservists, veterans and their families. Included among the programs is operating campgrounds on some military bases. The majority of these campgrounds are limited to current U.S. Department of Defense employees and their families but others are open to the public.
